CENTRO ADDS DIAL-A-RIDE BUS TO ITS FLEET |

Rome, NY- Centro has a new Dial-A-Ride bus on the road in Rome, furthering its
commitment to upgrade transit services in Oneida County. The new vehicle replaces an older one
that has reached the end of its useful lifespan.
The new 24-foot vehicle includes an electronic destination sign, air conditioning and the latest
mobility lift technology.
“This vehicle is a substantial upgrade over the quality of our previous Dial-A-Ride vehicles,”
said Centro of Oneida General Manager Ron Bucciero. “Our Dial-A-Ride ridership is growing
and we are upgrading our services for those customers.”
Centro operates 3 Dial-A-Ride vehicles in Rome. Centro has also added two replacement
Dial-A-Ride vehicles for use in Utica. The buses were purchased from Empire Bus Sales in
Elmira, NY.
