Auburn, NY—Centro is extending its service hours for all its main routes in the City of Auburn beginning March 27, 2006.

Centro will operate three additional weeknight evening trips on its Routes #1, #2, #3, and #4, extending service to at least 10:30pm, and on weekends, two additional trips will be added, extending service to at least 7:30pm.

“We’ve seen our ridership increase substantially over the past two years,” said Centro of Cayuga General Manager Bill Hutson. “The demand is there, and with the continued growth near the Fingerlakes Mall, the time is right to increase our service.”

The extended hours provide bus service to Fingerlakes Mall until 10:00pm on weeknights, and 7:40pm on weekends.

Ridership on Centro routes in Auburn jumped 29% in 2005. Centro restructured its routes and replaced its fleet of city buses in Spring 2004.
