Centro will again provide its popular direct service to the 2011 New York State Fair, August 25- September 5, from State Fair Park-N-Ride locations across Onondaga, Cayuga and Oswego Counties. Centro service will remain the same as it was in 2010 however fares have been adjusted to match the fare increase that took place in January.
Advance Sale Centro Tickets, Ride Passes and transfers will be accepted on all State Fair shuttles. Fares and times vary depending on location. Children 5 and under ride for free. Please take note of the following schedule and fare information:
CENTRO SYRACUSE
DOWNTOWN SYRACUSE
Daily shuttles run continuously from the corner of Washington and Clinton Streets to/from the Main Gate at the State Fair from 7am to midnight. Customers wishing to transfer upon returning from the Fair: be advised that the last line up Downtown is at 11:30pm, so please plan accordingly. The fare is $2.00 for adults and teens, $1.00 for senior citizens 65 and over, persons with disabilities (with Centro ID or Medicare card and photo ID) and children ages 6- 9.
CNY REGIONAL MARKET
Daily shuttles leave from the parking lot between the Regional Market and the Regional Transportation Center (on Alliance Bank Parkway) every 20 minutes beginning at 8:40am until Midnight. Returning shuttles leave the Main Gate at the State Fair every 20 minutes beginning at 9:00am until 12:15am. The fare is $2.00 for adults and teens, $1.00 for senior citizens 65 and over, persons with disabilities (with Centro ID or Medicare card and photo ID) and children ages 6-9.
LOWE’S in CAMILLUS COMMONS
Daily shuttles leave every 30 minutes from behind Lowe's, on the hour and half hour, from 9:00am to 11:30pm. Returning shuttles leave the Main Gate at the State Fair every 30 minutes, on the hour and half hour, from 9:30 a.m. to midnight. The fare is $2.00 for adults and teens, $1.00 for senior citizens 65 and over, persons with disabilities (with Centro ID or Medicare card and photo ID) and children ages 6-9.
SENECA MALL
Daily shuttles leave from Seneca Mall (near K-Mart) at 20 minutes past the hour from 9:20am to 11:20pm. Returning shuttles leave the Main Gate at the State Fair 10 minutes before each hour from 9:50am to 10:50 pm and midnight. The fare is $2.00 for adults and teens, $1.00 for senior citizens 65 and over, persons with disabilities (with Centro ID or Medicare card and photo ID) and children ages 6-9.
SHOPPINGTOWN MALL
Daily shuttles leave from the Northeast parking area every half-hour from 9:00am to midnight. Returning shuttles leave the Main Gate at the State Fair every half-hour from 10am to midnight. The fare is $2.00 for adults and teens, $1.00 for senior citizens 65 and over, persons with disabilities (with Centro ID or Medicare card and photo ID) and children ages 6-9.
SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY
Centro will provide a shuttle directly from Syracuse University to the State Fair, Saturday September 3, ONLY. Buses leave College Place, every half-hour from 10am-5:30pm. Returning shuttles leave the Main Gate at the State Fair every half-hour from 11:30am-7:00pm. This service is FREE.
CALL-A-BUS: ONONDAGA COUNTY ONLY
1. Reserve your rides in advance as you would normally do for Call-A-Bus.
2. Call-A-Bus will provide you with a ride to the nearest State Fair
Park-N-Ride location.
3. Board the CENTRO Bus and ride to the Main Gate.
4. When you are ready to leave the State Fair, go back to the Main
Gate and board the CENTRO bus to the Park-N-Ride you
started your trip from.
5. Call-A-Bus will pick you up and take you back to your home.
PAYING THE FARE
1. When you board the first Call-A-Bus pay your Call-A-Bus fare
and ASK FOR A TRANSFER.
2. When you board the CENTRO Bus, hand the driver your transfer.
3. On your return trip, pay the CENTRO Bus Fare and board the bus.
4. When you board the Call-A-Bus, pay the difference only.
If the Call-A-Bus fare for a one way trip is $2.50, then you pay it all at one time on the "going to the Fair" trip and use a bus transfer.
Coming home you will split the fare up, paying some to the CENTRO Bus ($1.00) and some to the Call-A-Bus ($1.50), the total fare paid being $2.50.

Daily shuttles leave the Elbridge Fire Department on Main St. at 8:20am, 9:20am, 9:50am, 10:20am, 11:20am and 11:50am and every hour at 15 minutes after the hour from 12:15pm to 7:15 pm. Returning shuttles leave the Main Gate at the State Fair hourly from 10am to 4pm and every hour on the half hour from 5:30pm to midnight.
