  Centro Adds Service to Camillus Commons & OCC

August 31, 2006

Syracuse, NY – Highlighting its service enhancements this fall will be additional bus service to Camillus Commons beginning September 5th, 2006.

In direct response to the increased demand created by the new Super Wal*Mart in Camillus Commons, Centro has added significant service to Camillus Commons seven days a week. Changes have been made to the following routes:

#36 Camillus – Centro has added one (1) weekday trip, two (2) Saturday trips and eight (8) Sunday trips to Camillus Commons

#60 West Direct – This route will no longer make stops at Fairmount Fair or Bishop Ludden Apartments. It will now travel Milton Ave, to Knowell Rd, to West Genesee St to Camillus Commons, in both directions.

In addition, Centro has increased service to Onondaga Community College to accommodate the opening of dormitories on campus. Changes have been made to the following routes:

#26 South Ave – Centro has added one (1) weekday trip, four (4) Saturday trips, and three (3) Sunday trips to OCC

#23 East Syracuse/Shoppingtown – Centro has extended inbound trips to OCC: one (1) weekday, four (4) Saturday and two (2) Sunday trips.

Changes were also made in the following routes:

#246 Oswego – The weekday 12:45pm and 3:00pm trips leaving downtown have been changed to 11:45am and 2:00pm, respectively. #46 Liverpool/Route 57 – A weekday outbound trip was added from downtown at 3:15pm.

#48 Liverpool-Morgan Road – A weekday inbound trip was added at 4:05pm

#64, 66 Western Lights – some trips are now deviated to St Camillus

#240 SU-Nob Hill – The weekday outbound 5:35pn has been extended to Iroquois Nursing Home

#723 Minoa-Suburban East – will no longer pull into Medical Center East

#78 Fairmount – Some trips have been eliminated to accommodate the increase in service to Camillus Commons.

New schedules will be reprinted for all the above routes except the #240 SU-Nob Hill. Call Centro Customer Service for details 442-3400.
