Premiere of "The Express" Affects Transfer Hub |
Premiere of "The Express" Affects Centro Transfer Hub in Syracuse
Centro will alter its main transfer location in downtown Syracuse due to
this week’s world premiere of the movie “The Express” at the Landmark Theatre.
Preparations for the premiere have forced the closure of South Salina Street between
Fayette and Jefferson Streets from Noon Thursday September 11, 2008 until approximately
6:00am Saturday September 13, 2008. The closure will affect all Centro buses that travel
northbound and southbound on Salina Street. Centro buses will NOT operate on Salina Street
between Fayette Street and Adams Street during the street closure.
All Centro buses that regularly travel northbound on Salina Street will operate northbound
on Warren Street between Adams and Washington Streets. In addition, passengers who
regularly transfer to northbound buses in front of Rite Aid can make similar transfers on the
corner of Salina Street and Water Streets near M & T Bank.
All Centro buses that regularly travel southbound on Salina Street will operate southbound
on Clinton Street between Fayette and Onondaga Street. Passengers who regularly make
transfers to southbound buses in front of the Centro Information booth can continue to do so.
Centro buses that operate eastbound and westbound on Fayette Streets will not be affected
by the street closure.
Centro has posted signage along the street closures and will have supervisors available to
assist customers. Customers with questions can contact Centro at 442-3400.
