Travel Training

Centro’s Travel Training program provides outreach services to citizens, agencies, and community based organizations that depend on Centro to get them where they need to go. By providing face-to face contact within the community and assisting individuals with a desire to learn more about Centro’s services, our trainers can customize instructions on how to ride the bus. This approach not only helps riders feel more comfortable and confident about using Centro’s services, it also helps them gain an understanding of how the service works.

How does it work?

Travel Training offers personalized, one-on-one or group travel training instruction. Taking each trainee’s unique needs and abilities into account, our trainers will teach participants how to safely and independently ride Centro buses. The trainers will travel with trainees to their desired destinations, which include work, school, medical offices, and recreation sites.

Travel Training is available in areas where Centro provides transit services, including Syracuse, Auburn, Oswego, Fulton, Utica, and Rome and is for anyone interested in learning more about Centro's services.
