DEPARTMENT: Syracuse Administration
SALARY RANGE: Grade: 7 - $72,287 to $80,798
Note: Starting salary is determined by evaluation of experience and qualifications for the position and will be set at some point between the minimum and maximum of the pay scale.
This is an advanced level position responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes ensuring stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. The role involves configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting network systems and business applications and performance, as well as implementing security measures (based on industry best practices) to protect data and systems from unauthorized access or cyber threats. This position is exempt.
10. Manage, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot the organization’s virtual infrastructure and SAN environment.
11. Perform, test, and document routine system backups and restores in alignment with BC/DR objectives.

13. Security and Compliance:
14. Collaborate with the Cybersecurity Administrator to deploy, manage & maintain security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and host EDR/IPSs.
15. Work with the Cybersecurity Administer on all systems, hardware, software and firmware upgrades ensuring compliance with all critical security updates and patches.
16. Administer and manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
17. Perform network systems and security audits to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability (CIA) of company data systems.
18. Administer, manage and maintain company remote access systems.
19. User Support and Troubleshooting:
20. Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
21. Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, input/output fleet, and workstations. Escalate incidents as necessary.
22. Performance Analysis and Documentation:
23. Analyze system, server, application, network, and input/output device performance and provide metrics when requested.
24. Maintain documentation of asset inventory, network configurations (to include topology drawings), and network policies.
25. Build, maintain and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all technology business functions.
26. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education/Experience: 7-9 years’ experience is required, but an associate’s degree in any field dealing with Information Technology may be considered.
