Specialized Transit

Introduction

Centro is committed to providing convenient, safe, and reliable transportation services to customers of various abilities. Each Centro bus is equipped with mobility lifts and ramps to assist customers in boarding and alighting the vehicles and to accommodate mobility devices classified as "common wheelchairs" according to regulations set forth in the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Customers should advise the driver upon boarding of any special accommodations required to facilitate their ride. Centro also offers curb-to-curb paratransit service (Call-A-Bus) for individuals whose functional ability prevents them from using Centro's regular route service.

Call-A-Bus

Call-A-Bus is Centro's paratransit program that provides coordinated ride-sharing transportation for people with disabilities who are unable to ride Centro transit buses due to their disability.

Call-A-Bus is a complementary service, meaning it matches the service area and operation hours of Centro's transit bus system, and is provided under the criteria set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990.
